Simple cycle power generating plants consist of a gas turbine engine mechanically coupled with electric alternator (to be used in power generation) or with a supercharger (for natural gas compressor station).
The basic power generating plant comprises a gas turbine engine with heat insulating and soundproof enclosure completed with inlet and exhaust ducts, starting system, lube oil, fuel and automatic control systems. Gas turbine engine with scope of supply as described before is a mechanical drive set that is able to generate and transfer mechanical energy to a consumer.
